Hello everyone,

It's been two years since I've made a post, any contribution, or a new song addition to Radio Nintendo. I've just been sort of keeping Radio Nintendo on life support. Spam bots have crowded the comments, the site's appearance is aging fast, and yet I fail to take much action. As you can assume, like some fan websites, Radio Nintendo is not my highest priority. It pains me to see Radio Nintendo deter this way. I would like to dedicate more time to improving and cleaning up the site, if not revamping it completely. However, as much as I would like to, I simply can not promise that. All I can promise you is the site will not be shutting down, and despite inactivity, will remain online for the foreseeable future.

It will be a goal however make significant progress on Radio Nintendo before the new year. Hopefully then, Radio Nintendo will shine brighter than ever before.

Greetings from beyond the void!

I've added the option to use a dark mode, you can turn it on (or off) from either the user menu in the top right or from the sun/moon icon at the bottom of the page.

Changes:
  • Dark mode.
  • Removed Google+ sharing from posts.
  • Adjusted chat to rely less on timing and more on message IDs, this should (hopefully) improve syncing.
  • When collapsing the online users column chat avatars will still be shown
  • Banned users are now hidden from the members list and the PM list (spam bots were cluttering them)*

The dark mode still needs some adjustments, but I figured it's good enough for me to push it live.

*Banned users who you have private messages with still appear in the PM list.

As the site is still in development, there are bound to be bugs. If you find any bugs or have any suggestions, feel free to email them to us at dev@radionintendo.com.

Hello!

I have tried to iron out some bugs in the chat and also made some changes to how the private messaging system functions, here's some of the changes:

  • Private messages can now be viewed and sent from a page in the user panel.
  • If the user has notifications enabled they will receive a notification when they are sent a PM.
  • Tweaked some timings with the chat, hopefully resulting in fewer lost messages.

You can still send private messages via the /pm command in chat, however now users are more likely to actually receive them.

This feature is still a little rough around the edges (for example, at the moment it will only show the newest 50 messages per user) so let me know if you run into any glaring issues or have any suggestions.

P.S. You may need to refresh the page and/or clear your cache for everything to work correctly

As the site is still in development, there are bound to be bugs. If you find any bugs or have any suggestions, feel free to email them to us at dev@radionintendo.com.

What's shaking everyone, shugnussy here to wish you all a lovely holiday season, safe travels and hopefully good weather!

It's been kind of quiet here at Radio Nintendo this year, but overall we're still at it. Our stream is still broadcasting, we have the latest music for you to enjoy. We're still listening to all of your comments and doing our best to respond to your requests! So far all soundtracks that have been requested to be add to the stream by our listeners have been added. We're still working on bringing back live shows and other community affairs, but this requires a commitment from all of us, I would hate to deliver a poor product. (Even though to be honest I feel like I've been delivering a low quality experience since we've renovated.) I'm thankful to you all who continue to listen and enjoy Nintendo's greatest hits here on Radio Nintendo. Merry Christmas again, and happy holidays.

RN Stream Update (11.24.2017)

It's been quite some time since our last update. This update focuses on bringing you the latest and greatest; such as Super Mario Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. We also focused on older consoles like the Gameboy and Super Nintendo. Hopefully the wait was worth it.

Without further ado, here's what you can find in this month's stream update:
